My Experience with training with Cyn Bahneman over the last 5 years has been exceptional. When I started training with Cyn, I had no confidence with the handling of my dog, but with her guidance I was able to overcome my fear and build my confidence. With Cyn’s training, I have been able to accomplish the following titles: CGC, CGC A&U, TDI, and BH. I feel comfortable that myself and my dog can handle any situation. Cyn continues to provide new challenges as we continue to train and continue to grow under expert guidance

I was referred to Cyn Bahneman Herman after a very bad experience with another trainer and that referral was such a blessing. From the moment I contacted Cyn, she was extremely understanding and patient. On the first day we met Cyn for training, she was right there with us, showing Cooper and I what we needed to do and how we needed to do it. Especially on the bad days when Cooper’s being difficult or I’m being difficult, she’s pushing us to work through whatever we’re going through. Cyn’s service dog program has taught Cooper and I abilities I never thought possible. Because of Cyn’s service dog training, my Cooper can pull me up when I fall, pick up a dropped item off of the floor, and be my cane for support when I walk. He can carry my groceries into the house from the car and calm me down when life catches up to me The bond that Cooper and I have is something that really can’t be put into words. There are days that he can look at me and know how I feel and react accordingly. All of that is because of Cyn’s guidance and training. She has worked us through so much and there’s not enough Thank Yous to say to her for all she’s done for Cooper and I.

I met Cyn Bahneman in the summer of 2016 after an unfortunate incident with our dog and neighbor. At the time, I was desperate to find a reputable dog trainer that could assess our situation, give us an honest evaluation and advice on moving forward. This was an extremely emotional tie for me and my family. We reached out to several trainers and were dissatisfied with either complete lack of response or false references and inflated prices. Cyn was highly recomended by the Northern Regional K9 Officer

I am writing to recommend Cynthia Bahneman Herman for any form of service dog training. I have worked with Cynthia the last year and she exemplifies what a K9 handler and training should be. Her work ethic is unparalleled and her knowledge of the craft is unmatched. She exhibits patience, authority, and love for both the clients and their dogs. As my mentor, she quickly took me under her wing and molded me into the trainer and man I am today. Cynthia would be an amazing trainer for any service dog training or for any individual who would require it.

I highly recommend Cyn for any and all K9 training. She’s amazing. Her no nonsense attitude and immense experience put on the right path for a very well trained dog. She not only trains your dog but she trains you to work well with your dog. I wouldn’t have a service dog today if I hadn’t worked with her. I refer all my friends to her if they are looking.

I have been working with Cyn Bahneman Herman for 4 years. We trained my dog Zesha for my service animal in her program. We have been a successful team for 4 years. My service dog Zasha has helped me in so many ways and Cyn’s training has been a blessing.

I called over 50 dog trainers in Western and CentralPA and none were willing or experienced enough to train a service dog. Luckily, I meet a veteran who was already working with Cyn Herman as his service dog trainer and her great team of other trainers. I did not even have a dog at this point, yet another Veteran training with Cyn had a service dog in training that he started training for a Veteran. I meet my life buddy Arya. Arya and I then started attending service dog training with Cyn weekly. I was agoraphobic at this point in my life with major PTSD issues and just attending training was extreely difficult for me.
Cyn was familiar with many types of disabilities including agoraphobia and if it wasn’t for her recognizing my issues and being there for me via phone calls, text, and email, I probably would have given up training within the first month. Her training with service dogs is beyond incredible but her ability to relate and communicate with me while I was having these types of issues to me is just if not more important than her experience working with service dogs. There is no way that I could have completed this type of training with any other trainer as I feel no one else would have given me the help that I needed.
She was there for me almost 24/7 helping to convince me to make it to classes, whether it be group classes, one on one training, and helping me every step of the way especially while doing public training. She could see when I was becoming stressed or about to have a panic attack and would always step in to calm me down better than any mental health physician that I have ever had through VA care. Again, I feel that her personal one on one way of working with people like myself suffering with major disabilities is really the most incredible part of working with her.
Even with her group classes, she is there for each individual and the instructions with your service dog may be slightly different than others as she tailors the training specifically for that individual’s disability and experience level in training. For me, seeing the experience of other members and their dog’s ability was a little intimidating at first but she worked with Arya and I to overcome these fears. Her classes are amazing and something I always looked forward to each week after becoming more comfortable in that type of environment thanks to Cyn.
Arya already has some prior service dog training and was more than capable than I was at first. Cyn helped me to quickly catch up to my service dog’s abilities and continued to help us both further advance in our training together.
Going through our training together Cyn would also set goals and specific things to work on in between classes to further advance the bond and level of training between Arya and myself. Having these goals and basically homework assignments to work on really helped intensify the bond and level of training between Arya and myself. It kept us actively working together between classes and prepared us for our next level of training and certifications. This one on one tailored training set by Cyn really helped Arya and myself to keep advancing forward and not step backwards and loose progress.
Cyn is extremely professional and always prepared to run wonderful service dog classes. Even with the professionalism involved with each training session it never felt like attending a stressful class or training type environment but rather more like an event for friends and family that I always looked forward to.
